What are SIPs?
Structural Panels (commonly referred to as SIPs) are composed of a continuous core of rigid foam insulation which is laminated between two layers of structural board with industrial-grade adhesive at controlled pressure to form a single, solid, structural building component. SIPs are used as a replacement of traditional building materials used to construct the envelope of a structure (the floor, wall and roof systems). Structural Insulated Panel buildings use 30% to 50% less energy to heat and cool than traditional stud frame buildings and are quicker to construct.
Here are a couple examples of homes we constructed utilizing SIP technology:
- Custom Home - Middleton, MA
- Custom Home - Littleton, NH
